Tech Preview: The National Restaurant Show 2024 with Marcus Viscidi

Considered to be the Super Bowl of foodservice events, the 2024 National Restaurant Association Show kicks off in Chicago May 18-21. In its 103rd year, unlike other industry events that focus on specific areas or segments, the Restaurant Show brings the entire global restaurant and foodservice industry together – operators, suppliers, associations, education, media and so much more.

To provide a preview of what’s to come, Rob is joined in conversation this week by Marcus Viscidi – VP, Enterprise Sales of The National Restaurant Show. Marcus calls out special features, speakers, awards, and education at the show. The Technology Pavilion and the Innovation Theater features industry leading sponsors and exhibitors and top thought-leaders who will share their knowledge, providing forward-thinking guidance in tech applications areas such as front and back-of-house, supply chain, labor, loyalty programs, and many other operations-focused topics. This year for the first time, the National Restaurant Show is launching ‘Expo + Education sessions, this ticketed series offers best practices in industry segments across the board.

When it comes to technology at the show, this year features over 400 tech exhibitors. The Technology Pavilion in the North Hall covers everything from POS to signage, robotics, IoT, and AI of course. In fact, Marcus mentions he is particularly excited for the next iteration of voice AI, which can be seen at the show.
